Connecting Your iPad To a Projector
There will be many times when you will want your entire class to view the iPad at the same time. Here are 3 simple ways on how you can set-up your iPad to mirror (displays exactly what is shown on your iPad, including swiping between apps, home screens etc.) your display for your class. For options 1 and 2, you can view video 1 to learn how to set-up with these cables. For option 3, you can view video 2 below.
OPTION 1. If you have an older projector with a VGA output, you will need the following 3 cables:
OPTION 2. If you have a projector with an HDMI output, you will need 3 cables:
iPad HDMI connector

3.5mm male to male audio cable for sound
|
HDMI cable (black) is connected to the iPad HDMI connector (white)

All cable connections are shown here. As you can see, you can simultaneously charge your iPad (white cables) while using this connector. The Black cable is what connects to the projector into the HDMI output (as labelled in the above image)
